1995 Rugby World Cup Breakfast
Celebrating the 1995 Rugby World Cup: 30 Years of Unity
In celebration of one of South Africa’s most iconic sporting triumphs, the Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association (AMA) recently had the honour of attending the 1995 Rugby World Cup Victory – 30th Anniversary Celebration Breakfast. This unforgettable morning was filled with powerful stories, heartfelt laughter, and a strong sense of national pride.

AMA’s Presence at the 1995 Rugby World Cup Victory Celebration
For the first time, AMA hosted two full tables at this landmark event — a true reflection of our members’ passion for networking and celebrating unity. Rugby has long been a symbol of togetherness in South Africa, and our presence highlighted just how connected our industry is to that spirit.

Legendary Stories from the 1995 Rugby World Cup Victory
The speaker line-up was nothing short of legendary. Rugby fans were treated to personal stories from some of the most iconic players of the 1995 Rugby World Cup:
Kobus Wiese, Balie Swart, Mark Andrews, and Os du Randt — the powerhouse Springbok forwards who clashed with the All Blacks in ’95
Joel Stransky, who famously scored the drop goal that sealed our country’s victory
Furthermore, the panel shared behind-the-scenes banter and even revisited the infamous red card incident involving Balie Swart and referee Andre Watson. As a result, the audience remained engaged throughout. It was a nostalgic blend of humour, history, and passion — a tribute to the Springbok legacy.

Connection, Camaraderie, and Heritage
More than just a look back, this breakfast was a celebration of resilience, shared values, and the lasting impact of sport on our national identity. Additionally, it was the perfect setting for networking with industry peers. People exchanged stories, built new relationships, and rekindled old ones — all in a warm and welcoming environment.
