Aerosol Training Course

AMA Successfully Hosts Introduction to Aerosol Technology Training Course at Precision Valve SA

At the Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association of South Africa (AMA), we remain committed to advancing skills development, safety, and technical excellence within the South African aerosol industry. As part of our ongoing training initiatives, we recently hosted another successful Introduction to Aerosol Technology course, a two-day programme designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of aerosol manufacturing, safety requirements, and industry best practices.

The training was held at Precision Valve SA on 26 and 27 May 2026, bringing together industry professionals for an engaging combination of classroom-based learning and practical exposure to aerosol manufacturing processes.

The event was organised and managed by AMA Executive Director, Chris Waldon, with support from Digital Brush Marketing, ensuring a well-structured and interactive learning experience for all attendees.

Throughout the two-day programme, participants explored the key principles of aerosol technology, including aerosol formulations, propellants, packaging components, valve systems, filling operations, quality assurance procedures, regulatory compliance, and workplace safety requirements. The course provided valuable insights into the complete aerosol manufacturing process, from concept development through to the finished product.

We were pleased to welcome delegates from the following companies:

One of the highlights of the course was the practical brand development exercise, where participants were tasked with creating their own aerosol product concepts. This exercise challenged attendees to apply their newly acquired knowledge by designing compliant aerosol products that adhered to the safety, labelling, packaging, and regulatory requirements set out by the AMA and industry standards.

Participants also had the opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to aerosol filling equipment and manufacturing processes at Precision Valve SA, helping to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical industry application. Scroll through the gallery below to view highlights from the training, including classroom sessions, practical demonstrations, collaborative discussions, and the creative product development projects completed by attendees.

The AMA extends its sincere thanks to Precision Valve SA for hosting the training, to all participants for their enthusiasm and engagement, and to the facilitators who contributed their expertise throughout the programme. We look forward to welcoming more industry professionals to future AMA training courses as we continue to strengthen knowledge, safety awareness, and technical competency across South Africa’s aerosol manufacturing sector.
